7 projects in KSA named winners of MEED’s national Quality Awards
MEED* has announced the names of Saudi Arabia’s projects of the year in the national round of the MEED Quality Awards for Projects 2014, in association with Mashreq.

Eén van de zeven winnaars was het King Fahd National Library project:

The King Fahd National Library, national winner of the Social Project of the Year award, entered by Saudi Binladin Group*, has a capacity of about 2.4 million books, with the ability to expand the library later to accommodate 3.3 million books. In addition to a new building and car park, the project also includes a plaza area, constructed over an underground parking area for 350 cars; as well as a private section for women only, large spaces for business and cultural activities, an auditorium, seminar rooms lectures halls and rooms for audio-visual presentations.
